We know you don’t believe it, but we’ll say it anyway - someone finally made a lighting control system that is easy to install, simple to set up, very reasonably priced, easy on the eyes, and ridiculously versatile (replaces both Lutron Homeworks and RadioRA). It’s NO BIG DEAL...
1. Wire the home traditionally, placing our “smart switches” on the light loads you would like to control.
2. Run a piece of CAT-5 to one or more locations for keypad placement.
3. Hook the keypads up to the Ninja monkey Processor (the thing under the monkey’s, uh, “brain” in the picture above).
4. Run through the simple setup steps to tell each button on each keypad how to behave - i.e. turn a single light on,
turn all lights off, fire the “”Good Evening” lighting scene, etc.
5. Get the heck out of there!
As a RadioRA replacement simply put switches in standard locations and install 2 or 3 keypads strategically (garage entry, master bedroom, front door, etc.). As a Homeworks replacement wire switches into mechanical rooms and/or closets and replace those ugly banks of switches with keypads throughout the home. Or for the ultimate in flexibility, GO CRAZY - DO BOTH!
