5:45 am As the end of a much needed good night's rest comes near, i·touch begins preparing you for the day that has not yet started. The outside lights that have been burning throughout the night fade away just as the sun comes over the horizon. Coincidence? Not with i·touch.

6:00 am As the alarm clock blares in your ears, the lights in the kitchen, master bathroom, and den rise to a soft glow - enough light to get around, but not too much before coffee. You smile as you step into the shower knowing that your coffee has just started brewing - compliments of i·touch.

6:26 am Dressed and ready for another day you head off to the kitchen noticing that the lights have now moved up to full strength - perfect for preparing breakfast. As your eggs fry in the skillet you approach i·touch, pressing the TV button with your index finger. Your i·touch system is instantly transformed into a kitchen television where you catch up with the morning news.

7:45 am Time to get the kids to school and yourself to work. As usual, you notice your kids have managed to turn on every light in the house while they showered, dressed and ate. Pressing one button on i·touch turns the bedroom and bathroom lights off and dims the lights in the kitchen and den. Quickly switching to the event controls you press the "Going Out" event and head out the door.

8:00 am You may be long gone, but i·touch is hard at work. The thermostats move from 72 degrees to 78, conserving valuable energy during unoccupied hours. The irrigation system comes to life - 10 minutes of water for the small front flowerbeds, 15 minutes for the large rear flowerbed, and 8 minutes for each of the four lawn zones you have designated. The system then resets itself to water just the flowerbeds tomorrow and then the entire yard again the day after that. In the event of sufficient rainfall, i·touch skips a day or two according to your wishes.

11:45 am You're back home for a quick bite of lunch. The first matter of business is to visit i·touch, activate the "I'm Home" event, bringing your lights to the desired levels.

12:51 pm After a relaxing lunch it's time to rush back to the office. Utilizing the i·pad remote control located on the garage wall you quickly engage the "Going Out" event and head to your car.

5:00 pm Knowing that you will be home for the night in 30 minutes, i·touch adjusts your thermostats back to a comfortable 72 degrees and turns on a few strategically located lights, including those leading from the garage to the back entry door for enhanced security and comfort.

5:34 pm You arrive home, kids in tow. Once again you pay a visit to i·touch, first activating "I'm Home", which adjusts the lights. You may choose to manually adjust any individual light or select a pre-set lighting scene. On this occassion you press the "Good Evening" scene which illuminates your living space to perfection. Your final choice is entertainment - TV, radio, CD? None of the above. Tonight you're going to enjoy your favorite collection of MP3's to be played on your i·touch MP3 player. You load your music catalog, select random play, and begin to unwind as you prepare dinner.

5:48 pm The phone rings. Your kids are invited to spend the night next door. You grant permission and get to work on plans of your own. Utilizing i·touch you search the Internet for a movie you have been wanting to see. You choose the theatre and the time and tell your husband the goods news. He joins you, using i·touch to quickly check the stock market and the weather.

6:18 pm The outside lights come to life 15 minutes before sunset. Through i·touch they perform this same act, 15 minutes before sunset, 365 days a year.

7:16 pm Dinner is cleaned up, the kids are next door, and you're late for the movie. You grab your coats and make your way to the door, pressing the “Going Out” button on your i·pad remote control as you leave. While you are pulling out of the drive you watch the lights fade as the house disappears in your rear view mirror.

9:40 pm The movie was great, but you're not ready to call it a night. You decide to phone a couple you have not seen in quite a while. They are glad to hear from you and invite you over. During the movie the weather outside changed drastically, so when you arrive at you friend’s house you ask to borrow their computer. You quickly jump on the Internet and log onto your i·touch system. After entering your user name and password you adjust your thermostats so that your house will be comfortable when you get there.

11:06 pm Home from a great evening out, and more than exhausted, you head straight for the bedroom. Not wanting to walk all the way across the house to turn all of the lights off from i·touch in the kitchen, you go straight to you bedroom where another i·pad remote control is strategically located. You activate the "Good Night" scene which you have set on a 15 minute delayed timer so that you can get ready for bed and settled in before the lights come down and the music fades.

11:21 pm The "Good Night" scene is activated. As the evening lights go down and the night-lights go up you slip into a deep sleep, knowing that i·touch is on the watch and in control.

6:00 am As the alarm clock blares in your ears, the interior lights in the kitchen, master bathroom, and den rise to a soft glow. You smile realizing that you have been dreaming about the future. You catch the smell of freshly brewing coffee in the morning air. You smile again, realizing that with i·touch, the future is already here.
